Ok, due to technical difficulties it was only a short world tour heavily concentrated in the Southern areas of Ontario. Nonetheless Mom and Dad had a great time visiting with ton of friends and family while Elise spent the entire trip a bit shell shocked. I'm going to do something a bit different with this post and add in some commentary before and after pictures. I know it is a drastic change but please do your best to follow along.
We arrived in Canada and were met by Miller with a sign that Aunt V made to welcome Elise to Canada for the first time ever.
We then travelled to Bayfield on Lake Huron where we rented a huge cottage for all of our friends to come visit. You may not believe it but Elise is just as cute at a cottage in Canada as she is in Bermuda. The first few nights belonged to the University crew before babypalooza started on the 4th night.
This picture is up for a FOY (Father of the year) award in the category of Creative baby monitoring.
This scene happened a lot.
As did this one...
And this...
Our newest friend Min Joo (no idea how to spell her name), wife of Adam pictured below in the Sens beach shirt, cooked up some amazing authentic Korean dishes including Bibimbap and campfire Korean noodle soup which kicked the crap out of smores.
The beach was nice and the sunsets were beautiful. Not exactly Horseshoe Beach but a great place to be stuck for a week
These two are inseparable.
And we ate like kings the first few nights with the university crew. Beer Can chickens, 5 hour smoked chicken wings, steak, kebabs and of course the Korean food previously mentioned,
And then Baker showed up. He split his time between the University crew and babypalooza.
Aunt V trying to destress while Miller chucked some board in the pic below.
Obviously this is a GQ picture and not from my camera.
Family photo
And another tough sunset
Then came the families and the kids. Wow. What a difference between groups. This one had 5 kids under 2 not to mention a couple of high energy tweens.
These may be the coolest baby chairs of all time.
This is Kaz and Amanda's son Jaxon. I could have done a wholes separate blog on him alone with all of the adorable picture I have of him.
Elise enjoyed some beach time.
And so did Jakub.
Another family photo. Pretty tough to get everyone looking in the same direction.
I think Jakub is almost as tall as his dad.
Getting Elise on the veggies early. I am currently reading the China Study to her for bedtime reading.
Then the families left and Meme and Grandpa came with a nice quick visit thrown in by Uncle Zack and Auntie Kathleen
who have a huge Dog that we need to get a saddle for.
Not sure who is happier in this photo
And then we left the cottage and headed to Windsor to meet the Great Grandparents.
4 generations
and a meeting with great grandpa Harvey
And cousin Meghan
We spent a little time at the lake house
before heading to the large town of Smithville for our final few days to visit with Richie, Deanna and their daughters Olivia (above) and Macy (below)
And we were able to spend some time with Katie and Addison
A nice pic of Elise and Auntie Deanna
And when we got home Elise was 5 months old!
Congrats to all who made it to the end of this massive post. Your reward is more pictures. At the end of our trip we had some family photos done in Niagara by our favourite photographer Nataschia Wielink. Here is the link. Just enter your e-mail address and the password is sweet.
